Oh…It’s March Madness again?
If you’re anything like me, you couldn’t care less about basketball. If you’re anything like me, you’re also attending a top university that has continuously dominated the March Madness scene. So as much as I don’t care about it, I’ve found reason to understand more about it in order to better relate to my peers, professors, friends, roommates, etc, etc. Basically everyone I know. What I found that was pretty compelling is how I’ve been best able to understand ANYTHING at all about the topic is through information graphics!
You can sit and try to understand a complex subject through reading an article, or you could sit while your boyfriend enthusiastically blabs about whatever team is doing what and what’s going on with who’s bracket and who’s making a fool of themselves on national television because they’re doing whatever thing… Or you can look at a picture that explains it all. I’ve always been a visual learner, and I’ve discovered a very mild interest in March Madness just because I’ve finally found a way to understand it (at least a teeny bit).
Here is a congregation of infographics about the nba and the ncaa published by inspiredm.com and collected by Tiago Veloso–for those of you who care and for those of you who just don’t.
